On Friday, 5 December 2014 the CBA staff wrapped shoeboxes and packed the shoeboxes with essential items and chocolate for residents at Douglas Murray Home in Retreat.

The initiative was well supported by the CBA staff and those that participated paid for the contents of the boxes from their own pockets. Simon Pott, our MD matched the boxes made up and contributed towards a Pick n Pay voucher for the home. We made up a total of 80 shoeboxes and delivered the beautifully wrapped shoeboxes to Douglas Murray Home and handed them out to the excited residents. We also donated a R2000 Pick n Pay voucher and some grocery items which were accepted with much heartfelt thanks.

It was a humbling experience for the CBA staff to give back to the community in our area. The residents valued our act of kindness and support. Giving back is very important to CBA and we were so pleased to see we can make a difference in the lives of South African people.

CBA encourage others to support the Douglas Murray Home. Your support will make a huge difference in the lives of the residents.
