CBA recently presented a telephone solution to Paladin Underwriters for installation in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. The solution offered allowed for the seamless integration of the two branches with free calls between the branches.

The solution required CBA to host the 3CX in the world class data centre in Centurion which is used by some of the international banking groups to store their data with our partners ICT Globe. In the data centre we have all the failovers in place that normally cost a fortune to install in a company, from it being fireproof with multiple access point checks which include biometrics as well as a host of other technology.

Our solution not only gives the customer peace of mind but also the comfort of not being responsible for servers to be installed in each location and not having to maintain the servers using valuable IT resources. The installation required us to use Paladin’s current fibre provider. Other telecoms companies refuse to use other suppliers fibre. CBA were happy to install our system on third party fibre. We started the installation on Monday the 11th of July in Cape Town and finished on Tuesday the 12th of July. We then installed Johannesburg on Wednesday the 13th of July with cutover of the entire system and training done the same day.

Thank you to our valued partners and our CBA Telecoms team for helping us make this a successful installation.
