At CBA, giving back is an important part of who we are — and this Mandela Day 2025 was no exception.
This year, we spent a rewarding morning at the Girls Campus of Girls and Boys Town in Kenilworth, Cape Town. With the spirit of Ubuntu guiding us, we arrived bearing donations of both indoor and outdoor games — from UNO and 30 Seconds to an indoor hoop shooter, a brand-new basketball hoop, netball, and a swing ball set.
What made the day even more special was that we didn’t just drop off the donations — we rolled up our sleeves and installed the basketball hoop ourselves, with the girls enthusiastically helping along the way. It was a hands-on experience filled with teamwork, laughter, and the joy of seeing something tangible come to life for the young residents.
Girls and Boys Town South Africa is a phenomenal organisation doing critical work to support and uplift vulnerable youth for 67 years this year. It was a privilege to spend time with the girls and witness firsthand the positive impact this home has on their lives.
At CBA, we believe that true corporate social responsibility means building long-term relationships. We’re looking forward to continuing our partnership with Girls and Boys Town Cape Town and finding even more ways to make a meaningful difference.
