CBA are proud to announce that we have achieved a B-BBEE Level 2 with an effective procurement recognition level of 156.25% during our recent verification.
This is defined as a “Superior Contributor to B-BBEE” in the Amended Code Series 000: Framework for Measuring Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment as gazetted in October 2013.
It is important to note that we also achieved the “Value Adding Supplier” status. Level 2 normally carries a procurement recognition factor of 125% but because we are a Value Adding Supplier, this is multiplied by 1.25 which yields the ultimate procurement recognition Level of 156.25%.
CBA have partnered with The Cadiz Enterprise Development investment (CENT). CENT makes commercial unlisted fixed income investments, thereby providing diversified exposure into qualifying Enterprise Development investments, together with meaningful and measurable social benefits. We earn the required Enterprise Development points in terms of the DTI scorecard by shifting our ED spent from income statement to balance sheet.
